LA MÀGIA DEL 9 PER FER UNA FINESTRA: TUTORIAL PATCHWORK.

Per fer aquest nou bloc, Les Antònies ens hem deixat inspirar pels vitralls i hem creat una finestra molt acolorida i alegre.

La tècnica utilitzada és la de la màgia dels 9 quadrats. Per fer el bloc necessitem 9 quadrats de 10x10cm, cada un d’ells d’una tela diferent. Distribuïu-los de manera equilibrada, col·locant al centre el més contrastat (1). Cosim, tira per tira, el primer quadrat amb el segon (2) i el tercer l’unim als dos anteriors (3). Amb les tres tires cosides (4), continuem unint la tira superior amb la central (5) i la inferior a les dues anteriors (6). Amb els 9 quadrats units (7), marquem una creu central i tallem en vertical i horitzontal (8). Separem els quatre mini-blocs (9), els girem i recol·loquem (10).

Per fer l’efecte de finestra necessitem tires en un color llis de 3cm d’ampla. Han de ser més llargues que els mini-blocs, perquè així treballarem més còmodament. Comencem amb el mini-bloc superior esquerre. Tallem una tira llisa més llarga (11); l’encarem i cosim al mini-bloc (12); obrim (13) i encarem el mini-bloc superior dret, de manera que coincideixi a la mateixa alçada de l’esquerre i quedi a ran de la tira, per cosir-lo (14). Obrim, planxem i, ara si, retallem el sobrant de la tira (15). Repetim l’operació amb els mini-blocs inferiors.

Ara hem d’unir les dues tires obtingudes i farem, més o menys, el mateix que abans, però en horitzontal. Retallem una tira de 3cm d’ample més llarga que les peces que hem d’unir (16). Cosim la tira a la banda superior, obrim i encarem la banda inferior, cosim i retallem el sobrant de la tira llisa (17). Amb això donem per acabat el bloc de finestra.

Para hacer este nuevo bloque, Les Antònies nos hemos dejado inspirar por las vidrieras y hemos creado una ventana muy colorida y alegre.

La técnica usada es la de la magia de los 9 cuadrados. Para hacer el bloque necesitamos 9 cuadrados de 10x10cm, cada uno de ellos de una tela diferente. Distribuidlos de manera equilibrada, colocando en el centro el más contrastado (1). Cosemos, tira por tira, el primer cuadrado con el segundo (2) y el tercero lo unimos a los dos anteriores (3). Con las tres tiras cosidas (4), continuamos uniendo la tira superior con la central (5) y la inferior a las dos anteriores (6). Con los 9 cuadrados unidos (7), marcamos una cruz central y cortamos en vertical y horizontal (8). Separamos los cuatro mini-bloques (9), los giramos y recolocamos (10).

Para hacer el efecto de ventana necesitaremos tiras en un color liso de 3cm de ancho. Han de ser más largas que los mini-bloques, porqué así trabajaremos más cómodamente. Comenzamos con el mini-bloque superior izquierdo. Cortamos una tira lisa más larga (11); la encaramos y cosemos al mini-bloque (12); abrimos (13) y encaramos el mini-bloque superior derecho, de manera que coincida a la misma altura del izquierdo y quede al ras de la tira, para coserlo (14). Abrimos, planchamos y, ahora sí, recortamos el sobrante de la tira (15). Repetimos la operación con los mini-bloques inferiores.

Ahora hemos de unir las dos tiras obtenidas y haremos, más o menos, lo mismo que antes, pero en horizontal. Recortamos una tira de 3cm de ancho más larga que las piezas que hemos de unir (16). Cosemos la tira a la banda superior, abrimos y encaramos la banda inferior, cosemos i recortamos el sobrante de la tira lisa (17). Con esto damos por acabado el bloque de ventana.

Como ya es habitual, os dejamos el esquema del bloque, las cantidades y medidas de tela que necesitaréis.

To make this new block, Les Antònies have left us inspired by the stained glass windows and we have created a very colourful and cheerful window.

The technique used is that of the magic of 9 squares. To make the block we need 9 squares of 10x10cm, every one of them from a different fabric. You deploy them in a balanced way, by placing in the centre the more contrasting (1). Sew, strip by strip, the first with the second square (2) and the third joined to the previous two (3). With the three strips sewn (4), continue joining the upper strip with the central (5) and lower with the previous two (6). With the 9 squares, sewed (7), mark a central cross and cut in vertical and horizontal (8). We separate the four mini-blocks (9), turn them and arranged them (10).

To make the effect of window we need strips of 3 cm wide on a smooth colour. They must be longer than the mini-blocks, so we will work more comfortably. We started with the upper left mini- block. Cut a smooth strip longer (11); faced and sew in the mini-block (12); Open (13) and face the upper right mini-block, so that it matches to the same height of the left and stay touching of the strip, to sew it (14). Open, ironing, and now we can trim the excess strip (15). Repeat the operation with the mini-blocks below.

Now we need to join the two strips obtained and we do, more or less, the same as before, but horizontally. Cut a strip of 3 cm width, longer than the pieces that we need to join (16). Sew the strip at the top, open and face the lower band, sew and trim the excess smooth strip (17). With this we finish the window block.
